One number a day.
On your phone by breakfast.
Groat sets aside your bills and savings, then tells you what today can afford. Free for one account.

Five screens. That is the whole app.
Two minutes to set up. Then leave it alone.
Groat finds your bills by itself. You check its list, name a pot if you want one, and the first number arrives the next morning.
1
Connect your bank
What Groat can and cannot see, and how to link an account in about a minute.
2
Set up your bills
Groat finds regular payments for you. Here is how to check them and add the ones it missed.
3
Make a pot
Name it, give it an amount and a date. The rest is arithmetic, and Groat does it.
Your first number, the next morning.
What Groat will never do
It reads your balance and does one sum. Your bank holds the money; Groat cannot touch it, and has nothing to sell you.
Move your money.
Sell your data.
Show you an advert.
Offer you a loan.
Give you a score.
Free to start. Three pounds if you want all of it.
Questions, answered plainly.
No. Groat reads your balance and transactions through open banking and does the sums. Your money stays where it is, and Groat cannot move it without you.
Most UK current accounts, including joint ones. If yours is not on the list in the app, tell us and we will look at adding it.
Money in, less bills, less what your pots need this month, divided by the days until payday. Spend less today and tomorrow’s number goes up a little.
Groat is free for one account and three pots. Groat Whole is £2.99 a month or £24 a year, and adds joint accounts, unlimited pots and the payday review.
Tell Groat roughly what a lean month looks like. It plans around that and treats anything above it as extra, to split between today and your pots.
It stays on your phone and in your own iCloud. We cannot read it, we do not sell it, and deleting the app deletes everything.
